Robert Redford Pushes MobiShorts

200611091507Robert Redford’s Sundance Institute has commissioned independent filmmakers to make short films for mobile phones. The deal was reached with telecoms industry group GSM Association, which represents 700 mobile phone operators in 215 countries, Reuters reports.

The filmmakers include Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris of “Little Miss Sunshine” fame. The films we be premiered at a cellular industry conference organized by GSM in Barcelona in February 2007.
