Sarah Ferguson launches Jewellery line

The English ex-royal and US diet celebrity Sarah Ferguson (The Duchess of York) has announced her latest money-making plans: a foray into jewellery design with a both a signature Sarah Ferguson Collection and a 400-piece, fashion-forward collection for K&G Creations.

The earrings, necklaces, bracelets and rings in both ranges are made from
Moissanite, a laboratory-grown jewel with the sparkle of a diamond available at a fraction of the price, enabling pieces to start at a not too obscene $400 (although most items are over $1000). Available online, and in department stores such as Macy’s, Lord & Taylor and Belk, a portion of the proceeds from Sarah’s Collection will be donated to the Sarah Ferguson Foundation which supports childrens charities around the world.

The line is being marketed as jewellery "inspired by a duchess yet
affordable enough for every woman" and will be sold primarily throughout the US, later expanding to Australia and Thailand.
