The Dorchester Group’s New Image
Vogue reports on the newest designer collaborations helping to update the Dorchester Group’s style. Basso & Brooke, Stephen Jones and Helena Christensen have all been drafted in to create bespoke costumes, hats and photographs respectively for the group’s luxury hotels- including The Dorchester in London, the Beverly Hills Hotel in LA and Plaza Athénée in Paris- and give the newly named Dorchester Collection a more couture image.
"Working with the Dorchester Group has been an absolute pleasure as
they reflect the professionalism, creative lifestyle, luxury, attention
to detail and heritage we also aim for in our label," say Fashion
Fringe winners of 2004, Bruno Basso and Christopher Brooke. "Each hotel
has been well studied and illustrated in detail, taking into
consideration historical references and translating into shape, print
and colour whilst considering all the emotional aspects also. Each
dress invites the guest to enjoy a lavish experience. We wish the
spectator to experience the same sensation as we had when we first
discovered each hotel."
It doesn’t make it clear whether these outfits are intended to be new staff uniforms or products available for guests to buy, but we’ll find out when they’re unveiled next Monday.
