For discovering new music - last.fm wins hands down and I don't think any one else (apart from maybe MOG) is going to help me find new artists that I know I will like.</p> <p>However, this 'playlist' creation market is right open and having seen a friend run the software I gotta say that I was impressed at how well it coped with his obscure tracks. </p> <p>Being a mac user... well I'm happy making do with my smart playlists.</p> As usual I’m a mac user and this kind of software is under represented on the platform.

Lastfm is good listening when you want to play it. Goombah is straight forward just about the music. You don't have to do any work trying to describe what your music is about and what you like or don't like. It seemed to get me. I am liking some new artists I found and the free music recommended are keepers. So, I'll keep tryig.</p> I have a Mac and tried iLike,Goombah and Last fm.
