Gotuit
A new online media platform called Gotuit allows users to edit, view, and share online video clips. The site has developed a new piece of software called SceneMaker that lets people cut Youtube and Metacafe videos down to just the good parts.
CEO Mark Pascarella explains why this is usefull:
A user who finds a great joke within a 10-minute comedy video posted to
another social video site will use SceneMaker to “VideoMark” just the
40 seconds of video that contains their favorite joke. The user will
then be able to easily share the videomarked scene through email or by
posting the scene to their blog or website. When watched, the video
will stream from the hosting site, while the scene metadata will be
delivered by Gotuit to allow the viewer to see just that specific
scene. These scenes will then be available to other video enthusiasts
using Gotuit’s “InVideo” search engine.
According to their website, their goal is to:
Provide a superior video experience by providing
consumers with a platform to quickly and easily access the video
segments that matter to them. Gotuit delivers this superior experience
through it’s patented indexing, search, and navigation technology,
which uses human oversight to create a massive database of “deep
tagged” video assets. With this tagging information, Gotuit’s patented
software constructs multiple indexes or playlists that let consumers
watch just the program segments they want to see on each media platform.
