Million Dollar Homepage II?

We all remember the guy who set up a website selling a single pixel at a time who ended up making a million dollars. At the time you probably thought “I wish I’d thought of that” or “what a lucky bastard”.

Well Alex Tew the young student who set it all up is back with a new project. It’s a similar plan to his past idea, advertisers buy space on his site for $2 per pixel, except this time one month after the ad inventory sells out a visitor to the website will be picked at random to win $1 million.

The new site is called pixelotto.com and is actually a very smart business model. People will want to visit the site regularly to improve their chance of winning, advertisers will want to follow the eyeballs and so will be happy to part with the small amounts of cash required to advertise. In order to be in with a chance of winning users need to click through one of the ads on the page.
