Pic: Healthy Tea, Healthy Planet

by Piers Fawkes

Teas

For some reason we found ourselves in one of those ‘health food’ stores on Hudson Street in New York a few days back and found this display of tea. The display is two sections wide and top to bottom. Every brand possible each selling every tea-type possible - in fact there seemed to be more brands in this tea section than there were water brands in the cooler.

It reminded us of that ‘deleted-scene‘ from Borat about over-choice: just because it’s healthy for us, is the production of all these teas by all these companies healthy for the planet? Maybe. Maybe not.

It just made us think.
