Elizabeth Spiers, who cut her teeth in the blogging world working for Gawker Media, is to launch a new blog called Size 0, the New York Times’ Dealbook reports:

It turns out that (that’s the numeral zero) is part of Ms. Spiers’s plan to break into the world of fashion media, although she says the name of this site is expected to change. “We’re doing a yet-to-be-named fashion site, and it’ll be our first consumer property,” she told DealBook early Wednesday, adding that Faran Krentcil, formerly of The Daily, a fashion publication, and creator of the Imaginary Socialite blog, will be its main writer.

“We figured: (A) Someone has to tell those people what to wear, and (B) What Dead Horse Media really lacks is gravitas,” Ms. Spiers said via e-mail. “Or gravitas in italics, which is far more serious. And what better way to get it than making lingerie recommendations for Britney Spears?”
