Providing internet access to developing countries through programs like One Laptop Per Child and Intel’s World Ahead sounds like a great idea—except for that whole electricity thing. Many don’t have a source reliable enough to power a network.

The folks at Green Wifi are getting around this by setting up remote rural communities with solar-powered computers with Wifi. It’s low-cost and easy to employ.
