AOL To Cut Weblogs Inc Niche Sites

Gawker run tech-blog Valleyway is reporting that the smaller and unprofitable sites in the Weblogs Inc network that AOL purchased from Jason Calacanis will be switched off at the end of the month. Dead titles will include BBHub, Divester, DV Guru and PVR Wire. Nick Denton comments:

“I have an aesthetic aversion to those blog networks which measure success in the quantity of titles rather than the quality of the writing.”
