Bridge Runners

heron prestonLast year Heron told us about this crazy thing he did: bridge running. The idea is that a whole bunch of people got together and ran over bridges of East River in New York then up to the next one and over it again – all the way up the river. “How do you get home, when you’ve finished?” we asked as we pulled our running shoes out. “Oh, you have to run home too.” We put the shoes back under the desk.

Heron has just released a video of the organizer, Mike Baies on his site. HP says:

I’ve written about the Nike Bridge Runners before. Mike Saes is the founder. Hear how his idea made it from a night of running, to people at Wieden + Kennedy and later into the hands of Nike. He’s the type of entrepreneur that largely inspired my post on the New York Guy, a piece on the hustles and bustles of New York go getters.
