Heron Preston Interviews Piers Fawkes

Heron Preston has posted that video of Piers acting like a madman, waving his hands around willynilly. Despite this, he actually talks a good game. Heron
says:

Piers Fawkes does a combination of blogging and trends consulting which makes up PSFK.
Did you read that? Piers blogs for a living! He provides inspiration to
those who need it. How does he do that? Through a publishing platform.
What does he publish? A website, trend reports, etc.. etc.. Anything to
get the message across. I thought his interview was very fascinating
because it illustrates what some people are doing TODAY to pay the
bills. He figured out his niche and created a business model around
that. My question is, how far can we take this? I have a feeling that
shortly, in the near future, we will start to see more interesting jobs
popping up which will make our parents heads spin. Out with the old and
in with the new.

David Gensler
introduced me to Piers back in like 04 or 05. He said “Yeah, you should
meet my friend Piers over at PSFK. He basically sells ideas.” So I’m
like, “O word? I have ill ideas too! I need to meet this guy.” The rest
is history.
