Heh. Yeah, Me and the crew from Cunning (Marissa and Gino) practically ran to the SoHo store...we were so excited we hadn't noticed the release date.

The staff were very impressed at our bleeding-edge nerdery! I feel proud.

Hell Yeah.

When the iphone was finally announced I was pretty sceptical about it. Why should Apple put out a device which (basically) already exists on the market?

Ok. I say BASICALLY. Not with the same style/design/usability as the iphone but you got your XDAs and Sony/Nokia Phones with itunes and all that included out there.

So why did they do it?

Yeah, to innovate and all that. And I bet they did. But after sleeping over that 1 night I figured what's going to happen:

Noone will have to pay 400$ for that baby. Apple will sell millions of iphones to all mobile providers worldwide. MILLIONS. then you will have your subventions for your 2 year be it vodafon or whatever contract and the iphone will cost you appr. bare lets say 200$.

Right on. So millions of people will run around with that phone in their pockets and whoops suddenly itunes will offer premium mobile services like accessing your library from the phone, purchasing music on the fly all that, even a monthly subscription for (un?)limited downloads of video and audio content will be there...

Yeah, and they will manage what no other provider/phone manufacturer with ther I love music campaigns has achieved yet.

Congraz Apple. You rule.

Seems like somethings cooking between CISCO and Apple...

"the long-awaited announcement by Apple of an iPhone is believed by many to be due in just a few short weeks. However news that Linksys, now a division of Cisco, has owned the iPhone brand for years has the market abuzz and agog. Does this mean a legal battle brewing between giants Cisco and Apple? Regardless, emotions run surprisingly high over such a seemingly small thing as a name and even the letter "i"."

Source: http://www.theinternetpatrol.com/the-iphone-already-exists-and-it-belongs-to-cisco-not-apple

iPhone is available with Cingular ONLY!?
And what if I am stuck under contract with a carrier OTHER
than Cingular but still want a iPhone?
Well, the only solution
I could fine was http://www.Cellswapper.com -
they get you out of any cell phone contract!
