Moschino Hotel due to open 2008

by Amanda Gore (PSFK London)

Following in the footsteps of so many Italian fashion houses, Moschino have announced plans to open a hotel in Milan in 2008. According to WWD, the hotel will be a collaboration with Mobygest, one of Italy’s leading exclusive hotel chains, with the intention of expanding to several other cities.

The creative team at Moschino are designing both the hotel and a new home collection to be sold alongside, and being Moschino you can bet the outcome will be fun, exciting and original- as Simone Badioli, (chief executive officer of Aeffe, which controls Moschino) explained "We want to create a different hotel from what is the typical scene,
one that will reflect Moschino’s philosophy and whimsical image". At 72 rooms plus a spa and restaurant the company obviously have a lot to say.
