Netflix Starts Download Service

by Piers Fawkes

200701160917Last week we ordered our Apple TV device to play movies wirelessly on our TV from our computer but we were left wondering what we’d actually watch. It looks like Netflix is coming to our rescue by adding 48 hours of downloads to its monthly DVD-By-Mail package.

There are a couple of downsides: firstly there will only be 1,000 videos to download from (which actually sounds a rather lot when we type ithe number) and also the service requires a PC.

Yep, time to dust off that tower you were going to donate to Africa and turn it into your state of the art Tivo (Apple TV works with PC).
