Roland Mouret Returns

by Amanda Gore (PSFK London)

Announced yesterday, Roland Mouret will return to the runway in July with a high-end clothing collection to debut off-schedule during the Paris couture shows. The collection will be called RM by Roland Mouret, and is
Mouret’s first project under the 19RM company he formed last year with
entertainment mogul Simon Fuller.

"The idea of this satellite collection is for me to be able to express
the most concentrated vision of my ideas of dressing women, and to
deliver that vision to them in the shortest time possible," Mouret said
on Tuesday.

"This collection of no more than 21 looks will focus
on signature silhouettes and key pieces that I believe women demand. I
want to celebrate women with this collection — they are my greatest
source of inspiration," he added.

The new collection will be
made up entirely of tailored pieces, and based around the designer’s signature draping techniques, with the pieces being deliberately non-season specific. Priced
alongside Lanvin, Balenciaga and Chanel, the designs will be in stores in London, Paris and New York by November this year.
