Té Casan- Limited Edition Footwear to Take Over the World!

New Spanish women’s footwear brand Té Casan pushes the limited edition concept even further. Selling footwear collections by seven emerging designers who have worked for the likes of Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen, Versace, and Dries Van Noten from their newly opened flagship store on West Broadway, the company hopes to empower women to express their individuality through the purchasing of this competitively priced footwear.
“We value the unique footprint that each woman has on her own environment. We value the artistic integrity each designer possesses. Té Casan is about creating shoes that embody this individuality”.
To enhance the exclusivity factor, each pair of shoes is numbered in a limited edition series (with a maximum run of 74 pairs), which is imprinted on the bottom of the shoe. More interesting though is that the designers are expected to each produce one new footwear design a week, meaning that the merchandise in-store will constantly change and always be exclusive, with the company aim that each visitor’s experience will be unique. A clever manifestation of the growing trend for mass exclusivity.
The New York Times has an interesting review of the store itself, which includes a specialty tea bar and custom-made fitting booths to add to the luxury experience. Starting with this 7,500 square foot SoHo emporium, Té Casan are definitely not taking the cautious approach- in fact Drapers reports on the company’s plans to roll out 50 international stores over the next five years, staring with London.
