It’s a while since we wondered whether soccer’s profile in the US would rise through a combination of the rising Latino population plus the freedom the web will provide us to watch the sport we want to watch, not what the networks dictate. The sun reports that LA Galaxy have sold more than 5,000 season tickets at up to £1,500 each since Beckham’s £128million move from Real Madrid was announced. Buyers include Steven Spielberg and Rod Stewart.
