Absolut Lomo

As the more observant of you will have noticed Absolut Vodka is currently sponsoring the site and I hope you’ll agree doing a pretty fine job of it. The campaign invites you to become an Absolut artist by creating your own Lomograph photo and uploading it to the Absolut gallery.

As you can tell Absolut have put quite a lot of thought into picking this blog out and creating content that is genuinely interesting to its audience. The Lomo trend has been around for a while but has shown no sign of slowing down. Just search the lomo tag on Flickr.

I’m not going to say that this is the future of online advertising but it’s certainly a far more engaging way of going about it than just buying space based on demographics and the content provides a real reason to engage.
