Casual Gaming

200702191242Business Filter points us to some interesting stats about the popularity of casual gaming. Yahoo! Games attracted 21 million unique users in January. Nearly half of all casual gamers are aged 30 to 59. Also, visitors playing games on some Hearst properties like Seventeen account up to 10% of their traffic.

Meanwhile, Chris Anderson of Wired Magazine says on his blog that all the real innovation in the videogame industry these days seems to be in input devices like guitars and Wii remote controller.
