USB = U Smell Bad?

USB = U Smell Bad?

By Allison Mooney on February 21, 2007

Once you’ve pimped your ride and blinged your cell, the USB port is the next outlet (literally) for expressing  your style. We’ve already told you about USB drive jewelry and some other USB drive toys. And while we think the humping USB dog is, um, cute, the latest string of perfuter (perfume + computer? no?) accessories are perhaps a bit more practical.

Witness Arvel’s USB-powered fragrance-oil burner and the Aroma USB–essentially Glade plug-ins for the computer–and now Debreu’s Scent Drive. Unlike its predecessors, this latest accessory actually stores data (between 128MB and 1GB) in addition to fragrance oil. It comes in two styles: metal alloy and colored (yellow, white, red or blue) plastic.

At first this product seemed a bit much. But then our coworker cracked open her smelly, hall-permeating can of tuna at lunch and we quickly revised our judgment.
