Gridskipper points us to a fashion company called Shyno in Rome that is selling $50 t-shirts each emblazoned with a unique SMS codes. Gridskip explains:
So if you see someone you fancy, you go to Shyno SMS site and shoot off your timid little missive of love to your bella Italiana (or Italiano) of choice.

Sell that to a night club promoter! They’d love it.

Apparently not a new idea. Swiss fashion brand SKIM introduced a fashion line with included community and flirt-feature about urm 4-5 years ago? However they discontinued their lane although their designs were fresh at that time. Good chance for entrepreneurs to revive it.

Yep, you’re right about SKIM – v. cool company, and way ahead of its time – was actually about 10 years ago I first remember seeing their stuff. Each item of clothing came with a unique 6-digit code printed or stitched on, and came with about 10 ’social’ cards containing the code you could hand out to folk (or slip into their bag if you were shy), and then go online to hook up.
