Sexy Goes Mobile

Sexy Goes Mobile

By Allison Mooney on February 12, 2007

As if Justin Timberlake weren’t everywhere already, he’s now portable. We
hear from Ringtonia that JT is getting his own mobile video channel on Verizon Wireless’ Vcast service. Aptly named JT-TV, it will run original programming
on fashion, music, movies and lifestyle.

The service, which will begin airing in March, is the first one of its kind on
Vcast, but surely not the last. Verizon will likely be banking on brand names
like his to boost their awareness and appeal. Right now, the content is
primarily clips from ESPN, Sesame Street, AccuWeather and E! News. Back in November, the NYT reported that  select
YouTube clips were on their way as well.

Meanwhile, Justin seems to be building himself into the biggest brand
on two legs. He recently launched his William Rast clothing line, starred
in the movie Alpha Dog, and has still been “seen with” many a hot starlet in
Hollywood. Could he be getting bigger than his rival Prince? Sexy may have never left, but it didn’t come in a to-go size until now.
