Trend: Social Networking For Fashionistas

by Guy Brighton in Global Community

First it was foodies, and now niche social networking is donning designer duds.  IQONS is an international social networking social networking devoted to the fashion industry. According to TrendCentral, the goal is "to launch more formally later this month, IQONS serves as a platform not only for indie designers to show off their wares, but also as a style ecosystem where everyone from retailers, makeup artists and photographers to editors, publicists and financiers can display their work and connect."

Update: As predicted, there is also a social networking for jocks called Sportsvite. (via Paid Content)

  1. interesting…there’s another niche social/business networking site that i also came across recently:
    www.trunkt.org
less social, more business networking though - more for the design than the fashion community. it’s a nice showcase for designers.
