The IHT today reports on the forthcoming launch of a German edition of Vanity Fair, to be published weekly rather than monthly. Despite warning cries of the death of publishing, Conde Nast has high hopes for their Berlin-based magazine.

Bernd Runge, the Condé Nast vice president, sees a "comeback of
luxury." Where skeptics note shrinking circulations and advertising
