Dan Rather at SxSW

Reporting from SxSW, Rocketboom caught up with Dan Rather last week after giving his keynote address and picked his brain about the current state of media.  Topics include, the public’s media literacy, media concentration, corporatization, and blogging.

When asked how to change the system, referring  to the corporate  and political entities currently in control of mainstream media, Rather states, "Let the sun shine in…teach people how the media should work."  Be interesting to hear his thoughts on Chris Anderson’s latest ideas on radical transparency.
