Joost tokens are the new hot commodity around the blogosphere. These tokens allow users to trial the project before it goes public.

Everyone wants a bit of the action. Sites like JoostSwap have popped up overnight, where people can trade tokens for other things, while some bloggers have created clever self-promotional contests for link referrals and comments. Of course, there’s ebay where tokens are going for about 50 bucks on average.

Using beta-invitations to motivate demand is nothing new, but we can’t help but be intrigued by the launch tactics for a product as hyped up as Joost.
