Highline Festival

By Piers Fawkes on March 26, 2007

Between May 9 and 19, New York witnesses the first annual H&M Highline Festival over on Manhattan’s west-side – a music, art, film and entertainment festival curated by David Bowie. The festival will take place in venues along the High Line – the new park developed on an old raised rail line that runs for 20 blocks north from the West Village. NME reports:

Bowie said: “I thought it was a very cool deal to be asked to curate the Highline Festival. The request was for me to choose artists and acts that I myself would go out of my way to see.”

Artists include Arcade Fire, Air and Ricky Gervais. Tickets go on sale on March 30 at 10am at the site.
