Stylefinder- Shopping help from Conde Nast

by Amanda Gore (PSFK London)

Launched last week, Stylefinder is a new type of website from the folk at Conde Nast interactive which works as an online personal stylist, explaining the season’s trends, helping you with what to buy and letting you know where it’s available. From the same team that produces vogue.com, glamour.com, easylivingmagazine.com and gqstyle.com, the site offers style info and advice from ‘the world’s top fashion stylists’, and claims to have ‘everything in store online’, but with no shopping facilities this is purely a research tool!

As editor-in-chief of Condé Nast Interactive, Abigail Chisman explains "The site is entirely editorial - there’s no selling going on and our
style opinion is genuine. We’re covering as many bases as possible
whilst still being very selective - there are 5000 items cherry-picked
from high street, designer and online outlets, ranging in price from
£1.50 to £10,500. As well as being interactive - you can ask our
experts questions - we’ll also update you the very minute new trends
and stock hit stores, so you can get the look first". Well I guess that works if you live right near the store, otherwise it’s about as effective as seeing it in any magazine!
