		<description>&lt;p&gt;A big part of the problem is that the communities aren&#039;t very well integrated. I spend quite a bit of time on a CG forum and a fair amount of time on an indy film forum. The problem is, other than me, I don&#039;t see anyone else in both. The CG people have their blinders on, and the film people have theirs on.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt; What we&#039;ve not yet seen is the kind of community (like the videogame mod scene) that facilitates a truly diverse mix of talent.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;When the two communities finally hook up (and I suspect they will at some point), the overall quality will rise imo.&lt;/p&gt;
