G-Star Raw coming to Union Square

Just before the last New York fashion week, an empty store front on the north end of Union Square, between 18th and 19th on Broadway featured some G-Star Raw graphics. They were pretty vague and made no mention of a shop opening there. I even asked a guy cleaning the windows at one point for some information and he turned out to be the landlord. He owns this building as well as the one in Soho where the current G-Star shop is. He originally offered G-Star the window space for fashion week. Well last night, some new window clings went up and feature two words that offer more specifics…opening soon.

Note on closer inspection of the cling you’ll see Raw Defender, and Marc Newson. We hope they’ll be some representation of each in the new space even if the Defender is a stretch.
