Whilst millions in the UK wait in anticipation for the May launch of the Kate Moss’ range for Topshop, it seems that Phillip Green is utilising the power of her celebrity to help launch his brand globally. According to the Sunday Times, Topshop is setting up in-store boutiques in Barneys department stores across America to sell the supermodel’s first fashion collection, whilst WWD also reports on plans to sell the range in upmarket high-fashion retailers Colette in Pais and Corso Como in Milan.

"The Kate Moss collection will be introduced in the U.K. on May 1 and we will then go to 20 other countries with it," said Sir Philip Green, Topshop’s owner. "This is a major initiative for us, and we want to push the boat along in a big way."

Green is aiming for a rapid expansion for Topshop, planning to open more than 100 new stores during the next few years in France, India, Russia and China, and still very actively looking for a flagship location in New York.
