NYC Spring windows

By Dave Pinter on April 13, 2007

PSFK has featured coverage of shop windows before, namely our obsessive winter holiday survey of those in NYC. Well we thought it might be a good idea to expand this to a quarterly survey. Yea, it’s hard to get excited about spring in NYC with temps still on the cool side. All kinds of cool stuff is blooming in some of the shop windows we’ve seen lately. Both ABC Carpet and Anthropology feature live plans and flowers. But it’s not all about the stuff that grows. Spring is typically the appetizer to summers hot fashions so it’s nice to see some color and texture energy from Bergdorf Goodman and Saks. We’re noticing shiny metallic and mirrors all over the place. Hugo Boss on 5th caught our eye having a huge mirrored sculptural wall panel installed inside the store. Hmm reminds us of the Desire installation we saw at sculpture center a few weeks back.
