“Just because there’s a gap in the market, it doesn’t mean there’s a market in the gap.” In this video from the PSFK Conference New York 2007, Rony Zibara, Creative Director of NYC ideation agency Fahrenheit 212 talks about the evolution of brands in an ideas market.
Rony Zibara has worked for over 10 years in the identity and innovation disciplines. He joined Fahrenheit 212 in 2005 as a Creative Director and part of the conceptual exploration team. Rony uses his extensive branding expertise with his passion for understanding consumer behavior, marketplace forces, and trends to create provocative ideas for brands and products that connect sensorially to consumers. Current and ongoing clients include Samsung, Diageo, The Hershey Company, NBC Universal as well as multinational brands in Australasia.
Rony launched a grass-roots innovation discipline as part of Pedersen Gesk, a consumer branding firm, working with such clients as Starbucks, The Coca Cola Company and great American regional brands. His company ultimately merged with FutureBrand where he was made Executive Creative Director of North America before focusing on the Brand Innovation discipline, working with such clients as Unilever, Wendy’s, Musicland, Diageo, and General Mills.
Prior to working agency-side, Rony was Creative Director of Loblaws, the revolutionary Canadian retailer, where he launched hundreds of products and greatly defined the President’s Choice brand through an award-winning identity that would become the ultimate benchmark for retailer brands in North America.

I think it is amazing that that you are posting the vids for the conference. Shel Holtz over at For Immediate Release was talking about the Draconian practices of conferences these days limiting live blogging, recording etc. I happen to be a student and couldn’t make the conference, but after watching the great content I’ll be damn sure to attend the next one. Keep up the good work.
