While the last of the carpeting is probably still being pulled up from the NY auto show, it’s clear that the up-coming Shanghai show is gonna be good. Reason, well for one BMW is showing off a new top end sports sedan concept called the CS. Could it be the 7 Series replacement to the car which made head designer Chris Bangle infamous? Well clearly his flame" aesthetic is the best represented to date in this design. I feel cheated not being able to see it in person as the surfacing looks beautiful. And I actually really like the interior. Leftlane and Jalopnik have coverage and pre-debut more pics.

Actually, this is the concept version of BMW’s forthcoming “4-door coupe” that’ll go head to head with the Benz CLS. It’s supposed to sit above the7-Series and bridge the gap between that car and BMW’s Rolls-Royce Phantom.
I like the styling too, Bangle’s found his groove finally. Still think the first iteration of the current 7-Series was, uhhhh, unfortunate, but the later versions (5, 6, 3) hang together much better.
