Hype, Any True Jus†ice?

Nojustice
Bloghouse, Floro, Nu Rave, whatever hodgepodge; it’s hit stateside; Justice, a Parisian electro-duo, demolished Coachella.  Anyways, as tends to happen with hype surrounding era revival, bickering breaks out when bands stand on the precipice of the mainstream.

Yesterday, the much anticipated LP, "†€," was "leaked." Was it the boys themselves? gasp; or just a mix of already blog hosted files?

Palms Out Sounds’ post offers pleas not to pirate.

I was hoping it wouldn’t happen. Arguably the most anticipated album so far this year, by arguably the most net-adulated, blogged, and radio
ripped bands ever, has been leaked. The new Justice album, titled "†,"
exists in the ether. You will be able to find it in the online Sodom
and Gommorahs… But I implore you, fair Brothers, for Christ’s sake,
DON’T POST JUSTICE.

Hypocritical?  one commenter noted:

Anonymous: Because of blogs like these this, music is becoming more disposable
than toilet paper, and you’re not going to preserve your scene by
begging for limits on the very thing that makes it (and you) work.

Does Justice face the same problem in the blog realm as Lily faces on highstreet?  Gobbled up by the hype beast…  This is London reports on Lily’s launch:

The store New Look has already had to leap to her defense once this
week after her Lily Loves collection met with a distinctly lukewarm
response.  Unlike her fashion rival Kate Moss – who designed a
range for Topshop – there were no throngs of expectant shoppers waiting
as the collection was launched yesterday.  Instead, a dribble of
customers filtered into the store in London’s Oxford Street, where
Allen’s face and clothes are advertised on giant billboards.

Too much and you get a mob, too little and your sales bomb; it’s a tough balance between maintaining artistic autonomy and getting the bills paid.  Is this blending of industries and genres fostering a creative democracy?  Or is it further fueling the drivel of pop-culture and eroding artistic meaning?  Revolution or apocalypse(!)
