According to MediaGuardian, the highly anticipated Joost service is open to the public as of today. In addition to the highly publicized content deals they’ve signed with the likes of Viacom, CBS and Turner, the company has also managed to court some prestigious advertisers:
The service recently announced that 32 blue-chip advertisers have
signed up, including Coca-Cola, Nike, Microsoft and Nokia NSeries.Adverts
will be in the form of conventional TV ad breaks and pre-roll formats -
where the ad runs before video content – and will be introduced onto
relevant content over the next three months.Content providers can also bring their own existing advertisers onto the Joost service.
