Music Video Shorts Go Live

The very hip, ultra-creative, Webby-award winning indie-film-production company, M ss ng P eces (and creators of the Cool Hunting videos) have teamed up with electronic music powerhouse Matthew Dear to produce several music-video and behind-the-scenes vignettes for his latest album, Asa Breed.

"Distributing video content online creates an opportunity to experiment with traditional methods of music video production and develop new standards.” says Scott Thrift, Creative Director of m ss ng p eces. Ari Kuschnir, the producer of mp adds, “Music videos have always been in a sense commercials that seek to spark interest in a particular artist. We are offering an alternative to an extravagant video production for a single song in favor of a series of short vignettes for an entire album.” 

Maybe this is what an industry coping with consumer trust issues and waning sales needs – well-produced footage of musicians creating the music that we love.
