Pre-Parental Vacation

Forget golf-weekends with the guys and spa-vacations with the gals, it seems the latest tourism-package gaining steam is geared towards couples expecting a child. Called the “babymoon”, dozens of travel-companies are offering weekends of pampering, shopping trips for baby-clothes and couples-massages.

The World Travel Market Global Trends Report 2006 cited the babymoon as an illustration of the ways in which “travel and tourism companies are carving out increasingly customized packages to target different life stages.”
