As if swiping your credit card is too much work, Visa and Mastercard have begun working on a new RFID payment option that makes spending money faster and easier than ever. Much like London’s popular “contactless” mass-transit Oyster travel-card and the US-based Exxon-Mobil “Speedpass”, Visa and Mastercard will have their systems running this coming September.
Instead of swiping their cards and entering a security code, or signing a receipt, users will only have to hold them against a special secure reader.
No longer will we (or unauthorized users) have to sign on the dotted line!
