90 Million Manchester United Fans
An article in the Guardian suggests that the number of global fans of the Manchester Utd football club in the UK has reached 90 million fueled by the increased penetration of the Premier League on TV around the globe especially in Africa. Man Utd are putting together a digitial strategy with WPP companies to interact with its fans around the world. The Guardian reports:
“We are a football club and a global brand, a media phenomenon, but at the moment we are not doing enough for our fans,” the Manchester United group commercial director, Lee Daley, told MediaGuardian.co.uk.
