Google Now Eyes PowerPoint

Google already has caught our attention with their web-based, multi-user versions of Word and Exel. At PSFK we share and update documents using Google Docs with our partners and writers around the world. Web-based software is a growing threat to companies like Microsoft who create desk-based versions. In April, Google CEO Eric Schmidtsaid the web company will soon launch a Powerpoint competitor, and now, we read on Webwarethat a new feature in Gmail hints that Google will soon be launching their presentation software: Users of the Gmail email service can now open Microsoft PPT files within a Google environment using their Google web-based software.
