I was so excited to hear about this chocolat bar! I have been wondering, are the bacon in this chocolat long strips, as pictured on de package, or is they in teeny pieces?

I picked up one of these bars at Sam's liquors, figuring I'd give Vosges the benefit of the doubt, as I've adored both their Barcelona and Black Pearl bars.

The bacon is exceptionally strong and smokey, which would normally overwhelm most chocolate, but the smoked salt unifies the two. It's more of a savory bar than you'd expect, and extremely bold, but the richness of the chocolate holds up well.

The only real criticism I have is that the bacon bits are extremely hard and sharp, which makes the push-it-up-against-your-palate-let-it-melt experience more than just a bit perilous.
