Penguin Cover Design
In 2005, Penguin celebrated their 70th anniversary by inviting some of their most distinguished designers, art directors and typographers to the V&A to examine how attitudes towards designing book covers has changed over the last half century. The talks, as well as 250 cover illustrations have subsequently been turned into a book itself – Penguin by Designers.
CR Blog has an exclusive extract from the book as well as the full transcript of the talk given by designer David Pelham who started at Penguin in 1968.
Check out the complete talk here.
