Stock Exchange of Visions: A Forum for the Future
Stock Exchange of Visions is a website in which “visionaries from diverse nationalities and cultures who hail from a wide range of specilaties have provided insight into their vision of the future”. Recent articles range from a piece about the economic situation as it will stand in 2050 (China leading the market) to a consideration of what the world would look like if humans manage to destroy themselves or simply die out.
The other aspect of the organization is perhaps even more interesting, consisting of a mobile installation through which participants can enter into a dialogue with the sites “visionaries”, who are projected, along with their visions of the future, on a “life-size video screen”.
Thus far, the installation has only been displayed at the Pompidou Center in Paris, but it will soon be moving to the Trienale in Milan, and from there the possiblities are limitless.
