The Splasher

There’s a rather too long article in the New York Magazine about a mystery figure that has been running around for almost a year now splashing New York street art with paint. Is he a critique, is he an anarchist, is he an old school graff artist, is he a cop, is he a cunning guerrilla marketer, is he our Jeff? After 9 long web pages, we never find out but we do get a very thorough insight into the world of street art which may not have been examined so deeply otherwise – which, now we think of it, may have been the Splasher’s plan all along, no?
