A recent interview with Steve Jobs on AllThingsDigital.com, the Apple CEO suggested that Apple TV users will soon be able to access all the content available on YouTube. Jobs said:
Apple will be offering a free software upgrade come June that will allow Apple TV users to view YouTube videos on their televisions.
In the interview, Jobs demoed the feature with a clip from “America’s Got Talent.” Could this be a significant step for webtv? With all the content partnership deals being made with YouTube, AppleTV may soon be the only cable box you need to watch TV from around the world at home.
