The boys over at thehappycorp were asked by Portfolio magazine to redesign the terminals that the bankers use to get their information. Taking inspiration from flash architect Marumushi they added elements of social networking, a vital signs monitoring system and Wii gaming. thc’s site says:

thehappycorp founder Doug Jaeger transformed the blah Bloomberg display into a world you’d actually want to work and play in… For thehappycorp’s new model Doug borrowed from flash architect Marumushi to design features like a Market Lava Lamp where stock performances are displayed as colored bubbles: hot options rise to the top, while losers sift down to the top. The fat, bold colors make you want to sink your teeth into trading. Mmmmmm, pork belly futures…
