200707201330Lots of rumors being spread mainly by Vallywag that industry trade mag Business 2.0 is about to close. Business 2.0 made a big hoohah a while back saying that all their journalists must blog to get with the kids. We thought we’d check out how well they did. Here’s a list of the B2.0 blogs and when they last blogged:

Up To Speed

# Apple 2.0: Mac, iPod, iPhone – July 20
# The Utility Belt: Gadgets – July 20
# Green Wombat: Environment – July 19

Out Of Date

# The Future Boy Blog: What’s Next – July 12
# The Key: Domains, Music, and More – July 2
# Netly News: Internet – July 6
# The Next Net: Digital Future – July 10
# The Other End of the Telescope: Humor – June 29
# Seen and Not Seen: Design – June 29
# Small Change: Small-Cap Tech Stocks – July 29
# The Startup Game: New Companies – July 12

History

# Madison Avenue West: Advertising – June 28, tut, tut
# Terminal Enthusiasm: Travel – June 7
# Third Screen: Wireless – June 29
# Dawn Patrol: Venture Capital – May 9, from a blog in the Bay Area
# Waterlog: Ocean Tech – July 17 (but the one before that was May 18)
# Business 2.0 Beta: Tech – Dead. Link redirects

Not a good show. Any correlation between a lack of blogging skills and the mag’s performance?… Funnily, June 29 is a common date as a last post. Was everyone laid off then?
