		<description>Here&#039;s a free insider observation. Anthropologically speaking when a trend originates in the mid-west it tends to go beyond a trend and stick around. There are few trends that do come from the middle states but the &quot;region&quot; is so watered down and conservative that people are boht slow to adopt and slow to abandon. If something originates on the coasts it may go out of fashion before the mid-west even knows it exists.</description>

		<description>I love Crocs.  I was an early adopter and endured the pointing and ridicule.  I have to say though, there is a new kid in town.  I just bought a pair of Mions this week and they are fabulous.  They&#039;re sort of a Crocs/Keen hybrid and they&#039;re wonderful (www.mionfootwear.com).  As an added bonus, they&#039;re made from recycled material.</description>
